Rules and Policies

Classroom Rules:

  • Respect other people’s opinion, property and person.
  • Come to class on time.
  • Remain in your seat unless you have permission to get up.
  • Bring required materials every day unless you are otherwise directed.
  • Follow the teacher’s instructions.
  • Keep your books, classroom and homework in neat and clean conditions.
  • Do your OWN work!  Cheating, copying or sharing assignments will not be tolerated.

Absences and Make-up Policy:

  • It is the responsibility of each student to recover material when he/she is absent.
  • Absences due to illness or family emergency will be excused with a signed note from a parent.
  • It is the student’s responsibility to make-up any tests missed because of an excused absence the day they return to school (5 days if a medical certificate is enclosed).
  • There will be NO make-up tests for unexcused absences.

Homework Policy:

  • Students will complete homework on time and in the manner requested.
  • Student is responsible for clarifying with the teacher any questions about the homework.
  • With the exception of excused absences due to illness or a family emergency, late homework will not be accepted.

Project Policy:

  • Students will complete projects on time and in the manner requested.
  • Student is responsible for clarifying with the teacher any questions about the assignment.
  • Projects that are one day late will be penalized.
  • Because projects are assigned at least 2 weeks in advance, any project that extends to more than one day tardiness will not be accepted and will be graded with a zero (0).

Dress code:

  • Students’ uniforms must conform to school regulations.
  • Casual day clothes must adhere to school regulations (long pants, top with sleeves, sneakers).
  • Students’ appearance must be a demonstration of our Christian values.
  • Students who do not conform to this policy will not be accepted in class.

Parent Communications:

  • Telephone messages may be left at the office during regular school hours,
  • Correspondence can be sent with students as needed.
  • Parents may request a parent-teacher conference at the office for Tuesday through Thursday from 10:10 to 11:00.
